M° MATTEO BERTARELLI
Italian Composer and lyric Tenor, born in Biella on 04/02/1987.
Since childhood, he began his musical studies as a violinist studying at the L. Perosi Conservatory in Biella and then specialized in opera singing at the age of 20.
He studied opera singing as a tenor at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin with Maestro Carlo De Bortoli and later studied with the well-known bass Franco De Grandis, who as well as De Bortoli always collaborated with the famous Tenor Luciano Pavarotti.
He then had a year's experience in the choir of the Turin Conservatory with Maestro Dario Tabbia.
He sang as soloist, with piano and with orchestra in various concerts conducted by Rai Tv Maestro Franco Mariatti and later in an unpublished Sacred Opera alongside his Maestro Carlo De Bortoli and under the direction of Maestro Giuseppe Gai.
He made his first ever Opera debut in the role of Rodolfo in Puccini's Boheme, singing in four consecutive evenings. The performances were held in major theaters in Siena with great success by audiences and critics. The young singer was part of Operadelmonaco, later also holding a Concert, during the press conference in honor of the anniversary of Mario Del Monaco, held at the Teatro Dell'Opera in Rome, receiving great appreciation. He performed for the second time in an unpublished Sacred Opera "I Re Magi" by Giuseppe Gai with great success and publications on the Asti Press.
The next engagement was in Brest, Belarus, in the Concert of the three Tenors participating in the Festival with the Belarus Philharmonic in January 2013, wich was a great success with the theater packed and people standing up several times exclaiming "Bravo".
Finally, he made several Concerts between Asti and Turin in important theaters.
The tenor also began to make himself known in Biella, his city, on the day of generosity held at the Piccola Casa della Divina Provvidenza Theater, organized by the A.I.O.R. Association, with success and approval by the Biella authorities, also singing one of his Sacred Compositions entitled Ave Maria; in fact, the tenor is also a Composer.
He has written several Sacred Arias for Voice and Orchestra, which he later reduced also for Organ and Voice, performed by him for Organ and Voice in several churches in the diocese of Biella.
He made his first Recital in Sordevolo performing ten pieces, including opera arias, sacred arias he composed and finally an English salon aria, ending with some Neapolitan songs.
He performed in the last Concert dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi in the Biellese, with the Orchestra Filarmonica Biellese conducted by Maestro Straudi, with the participation of Soprano M° Enrica Maffeo and Valeria Matteazzi.
On October 17, 2013, he performed an important Three Tenors Concert offered by the Pavarotti School With the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Ovidiu Balan and Chorus of Ruvo di Puglia, the guest of the evening was Cristina Pavarotti, one of the daughters of the Great Tenor Luciano Pavarotti.
Tenor Matteo Bertarelli under the 2013/2014 Christmas season returned back from a very successful Tour in China.
He performed in 15 concerts with famous Italian arias including Verdi's "La Donna è mobile" as soloist, and in tenor trio in Puccini's "Nessun Dorma", Italian and Neapolitan songs, "Con te partirò", "O sole mio", "Torna a Surriento", with Chinese singers in Chinese songs and ending with the "Brindisi" from La Traviata; in 13 different locations in 20 days such as:
two Peking University Auditoriums, Jangmen - where it was televised - Concert Hall in Shanghai, Grand Theater in Dalian, Christmas Eve and Christmas at the Grand Theater of Hefei where on Christmas morning the tenor was invited to the Villa Manor of George and there he performed for the Chinese audience, giving the Flag of the City of Biella; Concert in Zhaoqing, Xuzhou, on an eastern island in Zhoushan, in the big Concert Hall in Shengzhen which is the third most important theater in China where big names such as the world-renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman have performed; a concert in Zhuhai, one in Zhongshan and the first day of the year in the second most important city of Hubei in Yichang and to finish the last concert at a very well-known Hotel in Hefei.
The Tenor also has teaching experience, in fact he has taught young singers in China. Lately he has been performing voice and piano concerts with Maestro Lorenzo Turchi Floris.
In the year 2016/17 he organized and performed 25 Opera Concerts, in the churches of his city of Biella, performing various opera arias, sacred arias also composed by the same, with great success and with the participation of other guest singers in the organized Concerts by Tenor Matteo Bertarelli. In 2018 he participated in 2 important events; one performed on August 18 at Punta Marina Concert in favor of national mourning for the collapse of the Genoa Bridge and another performed in September in Andalo in Trentino, Concert for three Tenors, in wich the famous Soprano Katia Ricciarelli also participated as a guest of the evening.
In 2020/2021 he dedicated himself to composing an unpublished Sacred Work entitled: "Gloria in excelsis Deo - Revelation Il Canto Nuovo".
